Professor Judith Trotman BHB, MBChB, FRACP, FRCPA, PostGrad Cert Clin Res (Oncology) is Head of the Department of Haematology at Concord Hospital. She leads a dedicated team of nine Haematologists to deliver world-class care for patients with blood cancers and other blood disorders.

In 2005, she established the Concord Hospital Haematology Clinical Research Unit and led this team of researchers until 2019, embedding research into clinical care. It is now the largest clinical research unit for blood cancers in NSW and gives the Haematology Department's patients access to innovative, life-saving medicines, long before they are publicly available.

Judith trained in Auckland, Sydney and France and is a senior staff specialist with particular expertise and international standing in the management of blood cancers, specifically lymphoid malignancies. She leads a number of international trials collaborations and provided global leadership in charting the role of PET scanning in follicular lymphoma. She is committed to the implementation of research findings into practice, as evidenced by her success in having PET for indolent lymphomas listed on the Medicare Benefits Schedule.

She is a current member of the clinical trials collaborative group, the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG) and a past Lymphoma Chair of this group, maintaining close collaborations with international co-operative groups and leading the ALLG's contribution to clinical trials for innovative therapies including RATHL, REMARC, PETReA and RADAR. She is also a past Board Member of the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance and is the Founder and Chair of the global Women in Lymphoma network (more than 420 members), demonstrating her commitment to diversity in lymphoma research.

She has developed a number of digital initiatives with colleagues and patients, including the ClinTrial Refer smartphone App, the My Hodgkin My Health App and the WhiMSICAL study - a global patient-derived database for patients with WM. Judith Trotman has published original research and commissioned reviews in leading journals including NEJM, Lancet, Blood, Lancet Oncology, Lancet Haematology and Journal of Clinical Oncology.

In 2019, Judith was awarded the Pride of Concord Medal for her outstanding contribution. In 2016, her local and international leadership in clinical research for blood cancer patients was recognised - she was awarded Local Woman of the Year for Drummoyne under the NSW Government's Women of the Year Awards.
