Dr. Massimo Breccia is a medical assistant at Sapienza University of Rome, Azienda Policlinico Umberto I. His scientific interests and publications as author or co-author (more than 300 papers in peer reviewed journals) are mainly focused on biological and clinical aspects of acute and chronic myeloid leukemias and myelodysplastic syndromes. He is a peer-reviewer for several journals such as Blood, Haematologica, Leukemia Research, British Journal of Haematology, etc and member of editorial board of 5 journal (Leukemia Research, Leukemia Research and Treatment, Hematology Reviews, etc).

He is a member of SIE, SIES, EHA and participates as study coordinator in several clinical trials for CML, AML and MDS. He is secretary of GIMEMA QoL Working Party.
